Project Summary
Following the discovery of a marketable sand deposit in Chippewa County, Wisconsin, plans were made to build a sand processing wet plant at the new mine site and a dry plant next to the railroad in the town of New Auburn. The wet plant washes and processes the silica sand which is then transferred to the dry plant where it is dried, separated, and stored.
Robinson Construction Company was contracted by Turn-key Processing Solutions (TPS) to relocate an existing sand plant to the new plant location in Wisconsin. Once in Wisconsin, the plant received a series of environmental upgrades including the enclosure of the entire facility and the installation of a comprehensive dust collection system. The project was completed more than one month ahead of the scheduled completion date.
