Project Summary
Robinson Construction was chosen to design and build a metal building addition to Building 3 at a Missouri auto parts manufacturing plant in Missouri. In 2003, Robinson was the design-build general contractor on a 100,000 sq ft addition to Building 3, which created an additional manufacturing area. With the current expansion, the company gained an additional 122,500 sq ft of warehouse space with 33 shipping docks.
The scope of work on the project included:
- Placement of building foundations
- Erection of 122,500 sq ft clear span pre-engineered metal building with
insulated siding, roofing and connection to the existing buildings - Relocation of manufacturing and other equipment
- Installation of dock equipment and levelers
- Construction of access and egress stairs
- Building ventilation
This project was completed on a very tight schedule of just eight (8) months.
